HARMAN Professional Solutions: The JBL VTX speaker system is installed in the Mega Star Arena (Malaysia)

Recently, in the multifunctional center "Mega Star Arena" (Mega Star Arena, MSA), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, have installed new acoustic systems. The MSA team turned to HARMAN Professional Solutions with: it was necessary to offer a solution that would provide the perfect sound for different types of events.

MSA, located in Kuchai Lamy, is ideal for most events and performances in the country. The concert site has an area of 1672 sq.m., an open-plan lounge, which can be reconstructed in accordance with the needs of each event. The site is also equipped with the latest audio-visual solutions. Now this place can be transformed into a theater, a hall for solemn events, a conference center for business meetings and seminars and even a place for Sunday church meetings.

To achieve this goal was choosen JBL VTX V25 3-Way. First, the acoustics were given as a test sample for several months. After testing during live performances, the system proved its quality and performance and it was installed on an ongoing basis.

In addition, the linear array JBL VTX V25 was supplemented with 18-inch subwoofers JBL VTX S28 Dual 18. V25 speakers provide powerful sound in a compact, lightweight case, ideal for places like MSA. The speakers are fastened using a special JBL VTX-V25-AF frame that provides hanging or ground mounts for the VTX24 and S28 speakers with all the resulting frame and contact holes for quick and efficient installation of the systems. During the operation of the speakers, amplifiers Crown IT 1200 HTD and Crown IT 4X3500HD, which are installed in the rack system Crown VRack, which is mobile and resistant to possible shocks or vibration.

Also, a digital mixing console Soundcraft Vi3000, it has 36 faders and 24 mono / stereo buses, as well as a control panel with four touch screens Vistonics I and, allowing two sound engineers to simultaneously control the console.

The console is used in conjunction with the Soundcraft Realtime Rack Ultimate Sound Plug-in Engine, which has 74 plug-ins. Soundcraft Realtime Rack provides access to emulators of analog processing devices from Universal Audio. The Realtime Rack program provides Vi console operators with everything they need to add UAD plug-ins to individual channels, aux-buses, and a master section-it's as easy as working with real analog equipment. A well-thought-out system for saving settings makes it easy to call up all plug-ins and settings, but at the same time, network integration with the Vi series ensures that all program parameters are safely stored inside the console. The Vi3000 console together with Soundcraft Realtime Rack is a powerful tool that can reproduce perfect sound for events of any type.
