Integrated Systems Europe: JBL VLA Compact Series Line Array System and Audio Processor with VoIP for Meeting Rooms BSS DCP-555

At the Integrated Systems Europe 2018 in Amsterdam, Harman Professional introduced a number of new products, including the JBL VLA Compact Series and the BSS DCP-555 digital conference system.

Acoustic system of linear array JBL VLA Compact Serie

The acoustic system of a linear array, the model of which is based on the advanced concept of linear arrays JBL VLA. It is designed to meet the needs of system technicians who need the long-range capabilities of VLA arrays for installations in a compact design. The VLA Compact column offers advanced audio capabilities, IP55 protection (the device is protected from dust and remains in working condition after contact with a directional water jet), as well as a fiberglass housing allowing placement in stadiums, stages and any other projects that require compact and powerful linear arrays.

The modular concept of the VLA Compact Series column offers additional flexibility in adjusting the horizontal directional of the vertical array sound by including different modules from a wider or narrower coverage area while maintaining a vertical directive. This allows the technician to assemble a linear array for a large event or to arrange a smaller linear array for use as distributed clusters in scenes, indoor stadiums and other large workspaces, including religious buildings.

The JBL VLA Compact column is designed for permanent installations requiring uniform coverage, high definition and sound that can overcome crowd noise. As a fundamental design element, the VLA Compact Series column offers wide-format modules equipped with transducers to provide broadband horizontal directive and increased sensitivity. Broadband speakers include 2261 10 "Differential Drive® 3" low-frequency drivers with dual voice coil with the option of horizontal coverage of 65 ° or 100 °. Sub-bass The VLA-C215S features a dual 2267H 15 "Differential Drive® subwoofer, which is made of multi-layer reinforced fiberglass and the back panel is made of steel. The protective grids are galvanized, stainless steel powder coated with an acoustically neutral black lining , hydrophobic mesh lining and waterproof insulation system.

Audio processor with VoIP for conference rooms BSS DCP-555

BSS DCP-555 is a digital communication processor designed specifically for meeting rooms. The DCP-555 processor uses advanced BSS sound processing technology to provide intelligent sound control and automatic mixing based on the template solutions. This allows the information system administrator and integrator to easily configure hundreds or thousands of meeting rooms using the web interface without using Audio Architect or any other software. Technicians easily select the desired template and carry out configuration corrections through a web browser, offering a powerful and simultaneously large-scale solution without having to dive into programming.

The BSS DCP-555 offers 4 bidirectional VoIP connections, allowing you to communicate during an audio conference simultaneously in four rooms without the need for separate IP phones for each. The DCP-555 also offers a number of inbound / outbound connectivity options, including built-in AES67, BLU link, USB and 16 × 8 analog audio. Due to this, the processor is compatible with HARMAN audio and other manufacturers, provided that the devices have GPIO and relay general purpose I / O interfaces.

To facilitate integration with other HARMAN devices, the DCP-555 has built-in microphone settings and presets for JBL speakers, offering a simple, IT-centric configuration. When using the DCP-555 processor together with AVX series AVS video-video solution, synchronization of the encoder is available to ensure optimal playback of audio and video signals without any manual settings. Thanks to these functions, integrators can easily design and configure rooms with minimal effort.
